Watford Water Polo Men’s 1st team travel to Gloucester in search of Championship Two title

This weekend (11th & 12th March) the Men’s 1st team makes the long trip to Gloucester for the final round of BWPL Championship Two matches with the title within their grasp.

The team are currently sitting top of the table, two points clear of Welsh Wanderers and Saturday afternoon’s game against the Welsh will decide who will be crowned Champions

If the team win or avoid defeat against the Dragons on Saturday then they will be crowned Champions however a defeat would mean that Watford would need to beat Birmingham on the Sunday & the Welsh would need to draw or lose to Worthing on Sunday & in that scenario Watford would still win the Championship, it could go down to the wire…

So after a long hard season that has seen the club win ten games in a row following those early loses back at Sheffield in early September the team is ready for this last challenge & title glory.

Head Coach Edi Brkovic commented

“Our main aim this season was to gain promotion & with that assured, we now the chance to win the title, if we play to our potential we can do this”.
