Herts ASA Swimming Committee & Swimmers NEED YOU

As clubs and coaches ask us to do more and our events become bigger and better we are seeing an increasing demand on our dwindling resources.

The Swimming Committee can comprise a maximum of the Swimming Manager and 10 (TEN) members. Currently we have the Swimming Manager and 5 (FIVE) committee members.

We meet 4 times a year, usually January, March, June & September. Meetings are in the evening between 8:00 & 10:00.

The Committee form Event Management Teams to manage each event – currently it is pretty much the whole committee.  The Management Teams meet more regularly in the run up to events to ensure we have everything in place and the event is good to go.
Events we currently organise are:

County Championships & Presentation evening
Masters Championships
Daplyn Trophy
3 x Inter County events
Open Water Championships
Any talent camps we decide to run
We are planning another event for June/July next year
 
These all take planning, setting up & running.
The swimmers in the county need your support – you do not need any experience and we won’t ask you to do anything you are not happy doing.  The existing committee members will offer all the support you may need.

If we do not get volunteers to fill the vacancies we may need to cut back on what events we offer your swimmers.
 PLEASE get involved and help to drive Hertfordshire Swimming to the next level.
