Watford retain Herts League Trophy with win against Bedford

Watford won the Herts league trophy for the third year in a row following their final game of the Herts League season against Bedford.

The team won the game 15-7 and remain undefeated this season in the Herts League having won all six fixtures.

The game began with Watford running into a four goal lead, Jack Pickford scored his team’s first two goals & with strikes from Cami Baker & Zolton Agocs they established a commanding lead however with a minute of the first quarter remaining Bedford scored for 4-1.

At the start of the second Jack scored again & 25 seconds later James Kattan had his first of the night, Bedford’s Carpenter scored soon after but back came Watford via a nice post shot from Andy Holt, Bedford’s Carpenter then got a second goal for his side but with 1.30 seconds of the half remaining Baker got his second of the night & Sam Carling scored for a 9-3 half time lead.

In the third quarter Watford continued to score at will and with a further five goals, a brace from Andy Holt got things off to a good start before Yakov sadovskii scored a nice bouncing shot from 5 metres, Bedford’s Justine Irvine then found room to shoot & score from 3 metres before Watford replied with a Tamas Csendes & a Zoltan Agocs goals, Bedofrd hit their fifth of the night just before the end of the third qtr – 14-5.

In the final period Watford took their foot of the pedal & Bedford won a tight quarter 2-1, Watford’s final goal was scored by Nandi Cseh.
