Watford Water Polo U19′s progress to qualification round of ASA NAG’s 2017

Last Sunday (5th March) Watford’s U19′s made it through to the next round of ASA National Age Group championships with three wins & a defeat to finish 2nd in Group A.

The team travelled to Grantham early Sunday morning for the preliminary round of ASA NAG’s Championship, this season nine teams from around the country entered and were drawn into two groups.

Hertfordshire ASA County Championships 2018

Dates: 20th & 21st January, 27th & 28th January, 3rd & 4th February 2018
Venue : The Venue, Borehamwood
The qualifying period for the 2018 Hertfordshire County Championships will run from midnight 31st May 2017 to midnight Wednesday 13th December 2017.
Swimmers entry times MUST be achieved within this window.
The Event Management Team feel that reducing the qualifying window aligns us with British Swimming and enables/encourages our swimmers to be focusing on qualification for higher level events and/or returning to training to improve their skills and technique.
The county will also be trialing running our 2018 championships using SportSys instead of Hy-Tek.

Watford Polo Club's first team have promotion to Division Two in their grasp

Watford Water Polo Club first team are in perfect position to cement their challenge for promotion into Division Two following an opening round of three straight wins in Gloucester last weekend.

Watford entertain Southampton tomorrow at Habs School and if a victory is to occur, the side will be well on their way to claiming one of the three promotion spots.

The first team then face Croydon Amphibians in their second game of the weekend where the Amps will also be gunning for a win in their bid for promotion.

Eight Watford Juniors Represent Region at Water Polo Inter-Regionals

This weekend 11th & 12th Feb the ASA U18’s Inter-Regional Championships take place at Woodside Leisure Centre.

The club has Eight U18’s players representing both the East & London Regions, with players attracted to the club from North London both Aril Pandaya & Peter Djordic have made the cut to represent the London Region.

Six Watford Players, Jarryd Myburgh, Will Eggleton, Thuish Kumarage, Jack Warman, Nikhil Patel & Adam Page will be representing the East Region over the weekend.
